The sky over the Redondo Beach Pier will once again fill with color as the 52nd Annual Redondo Pier Kite Festival returns for a full afternoon of coastal celebration. This long-standing community tradition brings families, friends, and neighbors together for a lively day by the ocean.

From 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the pier transforms into a festive gathering space featuring a Dance 1 opening performance, live music by 1969, and a live DJ spinning throughout the day. Face painting adds a playful touch for kids, while the kite flying contest invites participants of all ages to send their most creative designs soaring above the waves.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own kites or purchase one directly on the pier. Watching dozens of colorful kites lift into the ocean breeze creates a simple but unforgettable backdrop against the Pacific. There is something timeless about standing along the shoreline, feeling the wind pull against the string, and looking up at a sky filled with motion and color.
