68th Annual City Celebration in Rolling Hills Estates

Rolling Hills Estates is turning 68, and the community is invited to celebrate in style at the Empty Saddle Club. This annual tradition brings together neighbors, friends, and visitors for a day packed with activities, entertainment, and hometown charm.

From 9 AM to 3 PM, guests can enjoy classic attractions like hayrides, pony sweeps, a petting zoo, stickers, and stick races—favorites for kids and adults alike. Equestrian fans won’t want to miss the competitions happening throughout the day, showcasing the incredible skill and connection between riders and their horses.

One of the highlights this year is the City Celebration Poker Ride. Riders will collect cards at different stops along their route, with the top 10 hands getting first pick of the prizes. Even if you don’t score a winning hand, there’s still a chance to take home something special during the raffle. Registration is $20 per hand (with one raffle ticket included), and additional hands are $10 each. All proceeds support the Palos Verdes Peninsula Horsemen’s Association and the Peppertree Foundation.
