Beach Yoga at the Hermosa Beach Pier offers a peaceful and energizing way to slow down and reconnect by the ocean as the sun begins to set. Hosted by the South Bay Boardriders Club and the Queen of the South Bay Women’s surf community, this free sunset yoga session invites participants to move, breathe, and unwind right at the water’s edge.

Held on the north side of the Hermosa Beach Pier, the class runs from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm and is designed as a surf specific yoga practice that flows naturally with the rhythm of the ocean. Practicing on the sand adds a grounding element, encouraging balance, strength, and presence while surrounded by fresh air and coastal views.

The session is guided by Shelley Williams, known as @yogamittra, the 2024 Queen of the South Bay winner and a respected local yoga and Pilates expert. Her approach is welcoming and intuitive, making the class accessible whether you are experienced with yoga or simply curious about trying something new. No mat is required, just bring a beach towel, warm layers, and a sense of adventure.

After the yoga practice, participants are invited to gather near Tower 12 to connect, relax, and enjoy the mellow post practice vibes together. This time to linger and chat adds a strong sense of community, turning the class into more than just movement and making it a shared experience.
