Mark your calendars for an exciting day celebrating the migration of the Pacific gray whale at the 40th Annual Whale of a Day on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center (PVIC) in Rancho Palos Verdes. This free community event, hosted by the City of Rancho Palos Verdes and Los Serenos de Point Vicente, promises fun, education, and entertainment for all ages.

What Is Whale of a Day?

Whale of a Day honors the awe-inspiring journey of the Pacific gray whales as they migrate from the icy waters of the Arctic to the warm lagoons of Baja California. As these majestic creatures pass along the Southern California coastline, the festival celebrates their journey with a day full of activities, education, and family fun.
