Lomita Russell Nomura and Yoshiko Oest June 18, 2025

Saturday, June 28 & Sunday, June 29, 2025
Lomita City Hall – 24300 Narbonne Ave, Lomita, CA 90717

Lomita’s biggest celebration of the year is back! Founders Day returns Saturday and Sunday, June 28–29, for a full weekend of community fun, live entertainment, and activities for all ages.

Running Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, this two-day event transforms Narbonne Avenue into a vibrant festival zone filled with carnival rides, games, local craft and vendor booths, delicious food trucks, and live music. Whether you're there for the rides, the food, or just a good time with neighbors, there's something for everyone.

One of the weekend’s highlights is the fireworks show on Saturday night at 9:00 PM. Belba Field at Lomita Park will open at 8:00 PM as an additional viewing space, so arrive early to find a good spot and settle in for the show.

Admission is free, and the event is family-friendly. For more details about the weekend schedule, food vendors, entertainment, parking, and ticketing for rides and attractions, visit:   https://LomitaCity.com/Founders-Day-2025.

This is why We Love South Bay Local. Founders Day brings together community, tradition, and summertime energy in one of the most welcoming parts of the South Bay. Whether you’re catching the fireworks, enjoying a funnel cake, or simply taking a stroll past the booths, this weekend is all about celebrating where we live and the people who make it feel like home.
