Looking for a fun and free Halloween activity in the South Bay? Eastview Park in Rancho Palos Verdes is hosting a Pumpkin Decorating Event on Thursday, October 29, 2026. This after-school activity invites participants to get creative and decorate their own pumpkins using colorful supplies provided by the park.

Unlike traditional pumpkin carving events, this activity focuses entirely on decorating. Participants will receive a pumpkin along with stickers, paint, and glitter to create their own Halloween designs. Whether you prefer something spooky, silly, or colorful, it's an opportunity to use your imagination and create a unique pumpkin without the mess of carving.

The decorated pumpkins may also become part of another local Halloween celebration. With participants' permission, Eastview Park plans to showcase the finished creations at its annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Paw-Rade on Saturday, October 31. It's a fun way for participants to contribute to a community event and see their artwork displayed during the festivities.

The event is free, and all decorating supplies will be provided. However, pumpkins are available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is recommended. No registration information has been announced, and participants should note that pumpkin carving will not be offered.
