About the Film
Walt Disney’s Treasure Island was his first all-live-action feature and brought to life Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale of pirates and hidden gold. Filmed in rich Technicolor, the movie follows young Jim Hawkins on a high-seas adventure aboard the Hispaniola alongside the unforgettable Long John Silver.

Presented in its original, uncut theatrical version, the film is known for its impressive visual effects, including realistic glass shot backgrounds and authentic ocean footage. Much of the movie was filmed in England following World War II and includes historical production techniques that still impress today.
