The Gundo Comedy & BBQ Festival returns to El Segundo for four days of barbecue, comedy, live music, cooking demonstrations, and community events. Bringing together nationally recognized pitmasters and comedians, the festival offers a unique mix of food, entertainment, and backyard cookout energy throughout multiple venues across the city.

The festival kicks off on Thursday with a free USA Soccer watch party at El Segundo Brewing Company featuring a giant viewing screen, beer garden, pizza, and BBQ. Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy BBQ tailgates, comedy shows, cooking experiences, and special events hosted at Old Town Music Hall, the El Segundo Performing Arts Center, and Library Park.

One of the highlights of the festival is the BBQ Main Event on Sunday at Library Park. Guests can sample BBQ from award-winning pitmasters, watch cooking demonstrations, enjoy live music, explore the beer garden, and catch comedy performances throughout the afternoon. The event also includes a family-friendly kids zone and entertainment for younger attendees.

The festival features an impressive lineup of pitmasters from across the country, including Big Moe Cason, Mel Chmilar Jr. of Dark Side of the Grill, Matthew Statham, Uncle Chico, Jason Selva of Beatdown BBQ, and Meat Dave Williamson, along with several additional BBQ experts and culinary personalities.

Comedy fans can enjoy multiple shows throughout the weekend featuring nationally touring comedians, podcast hosts, television personalities, and stand-up performers. The combination of barbecue and comedy has become the festival's signature experience, creating an atmosphere that feels equal parts food festival and comedy event.
