GVJCI Matsuri Fundraiser 2026 in Gardena

The GVJCI Matsuri Fundraiser returns to Gardena for its 76th annual celebration, bringing together food, culture, entertainment, and community for one of the South Bay's longest-running traditions. Hosted by the Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute, this family-friendly event welcomes visitors of all ages to experience Japanese culture while supporting the organization's largest annual fundraiser.

From 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, guests can enjoy Japanese food, games, live entertainment, taiko, hula, martial arts demonstrations, bingo, crafts, and a lively beer garden. Festival favorites include teriyaki, Spam musubi, shaved ice, Okinawa andagi, and more, all prepared by dedicated community volunteers.

Visitors can also browse the popular outdoor plant sale, explore the Japanese Cultural Heritage Center, shop for unique items, and participate in raffle drawings throughout the day. Please note that the Matsuri is a cashless event.
