Oktoberfest may have started in Bavaria more than 200 years ago, but this fall it’s arriving with a Hermosa Beach twist! The Locale 90254 Oktoberfest will transform the heart of downtown into a lively festival celebrating beer, food, music, and community. From live bands and games to delicious food and frothy steins, this family-friendly event has something for everyone.

What to Expect

Beer Garden
All ages are welcome with the purchase of a $10 wristband (kids 10 and under free). Inside, enjoy beer, wine, seltzers, non-alcoholic drinks, and plenty of games and entertainment. Adults 21+ can purchase drink tickets for $10 each at the booth.

Contests
Get into the spirit of Oktoberfest with fun and friendly competitions:

• Costume Contest (12:30 PM, Pier Plaza Stage) — Dirndls, lederhosen, and even pups in costume are welcome.
  
  

• Stein Chugging (2:00 PM, Garden Stage) — Race to finish a 22 oz. stein of non-alcoholic beer.
  
  

• Stein Hoisting (4:00 PM, Garden Stage) — Test your strength holding a full 1-liter stein.
  
  

• Yodeling Contest (5:00 PM, Pier Plaza Stage) — Kids and adults, bring your best yodel!
  
  

• Sausage Eating Contest (6:00 PM, Garden Stage) — Race to eat a sausage dangling from a string.
  
  

Food Vendors
Fuel up with tasty bites from Atomic Space Snacks, Wetzel’s Pretzels, Creamy Boys, and Mediterranean Delite, or grab takeout from local restaurants to enjoy inside the Beer Garden.
