Japanology Fair Returns to Lomita for an End-of-Summer Celebration

Lomita Russell Nomura and Yoshiko Oest August 24, 2026

Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: MK Studio – 2383 Lomita Blvd #109, Lomita, CA 90717

Celebrate the end of summer at the Japanology Fair, a free community event showcasing Japanese culture, art, and small businesses in Lomita. Spend the day browsing nine unique vendor booths filled with vintage kimono, handmade goods, traditional crafts, and one-of-a-kind treasures inspired by Japan.

Shoppers can explore vintage kimono and yukata, Japanese pottery and bowls, handcrafted jewelry, calligraphy, fabric arts, herbal teas, candles, wellness products, and more. Whether you're searching for a special gift, adding to your collection, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, there's something for every age and interest.

Hosted at MK Studio, the fair offers a welcoming space to discover local makers and experience Japanese culture right here in the South Bay. As a reminder, guests are asked to remove their shoes before entering, following a traditional Japanese custom.

Whether you're a longtime fan of Japanese culture or visiting for the first time, the Japanology Fair is a fun way to spend a Saturday while supporting local artists and small businesses.

We love events that celebrate the diverse cultures that make the South Bay such a vibrant place to live. The Japanology Fair brings together local artisans, small businesses, and community members for a unique cultural experience that's both educational and fun.
