Music lovers are invited to gather for an evening of listening and conversation at Let’s Talk Music! at Peninsula Center Library in Rolling Hills Estates. This free program offers a relaxed space for participants to explore albums across different genres while sharing thoughts, perspectives, and favorite musical moments.

Held in the Purcell Room from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, the event invites attendees to listen to selected recordings and engage in a group discussion about the artists, songwriting, production, and cultural impact of the music. Whether you are deeply knowledgeable about music history or simply enjoy discovering new artists, the format encourages curiosity and conversation.

The March session will feature three albums spanning multiple decades and musical styles: Roy Orbison’s Crying (1962), Labi Siffre’s Crying Laughing Loving Lying (1972), and Alexandra Savior’s The Archer (2020). By exploring music from different eras, the discussion highlights how sound, storytelling, and artistic expression evolve across generations.

Programs like this create a welcoming space for people to connect through shared interests while discovering music they may not have encountered before. Listening together often opens the door to deeper appreciation, thoughtful conversation, and new perspectives on familiar and unfamiliar songs alike.

This is why We Love South Bay Local. Community programs like Let’s Talk Music! bring people together through creativity and conversation, turning a simple listening session into a meaningful opportunity to connect right here in Rolling Hills Estates.
