Memorial Day Ceremony in Redondo Beach

Join the community of Redondo Beach as we honor Memorial Day 2024 at the Veterans Memorial in Veterans Park, located by the picturesque Redondo Pier. This meaningful event is open to all and will feature a variety of tributes and reflections dedicated to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Event Highlights:

• Keynote Speaker: Captain Stacey L. Crecy, U.S. Coast Guard, Commanding Officer, USCG Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach, Terminal Island, San Pedro.

• Civic Greeting: Delivered by Mayor Jim Light.

• Participants: Local elected officials, civic leaders, veterans, and military dignitaries.

• Musical Performance: By Mr. Ray Vizcarra and the Redondo Union High School Wind Ensemble.

• Vocal Performance: By local resident Dennis McNeil.

• Flag Presentation: An American flag will be presented to a community resident from the Memorial.

• Support: The Coastal Naval Sea Cadets, Redondo High Junior ROTC, and the Scouts.

• Hosted by: Redondo Beach Elks Lodge

• Location: Elks parking lot, south of their building adjacent to Veterans Park.

• Details: Free BBQ for all veterans, military members, police officers, and firefighters. A $5 donation is requested from all other attendees.
