A new independent bookstore is opening in Redondo Beach. Moonstone & Mist Bookshop is celebrating its grand opening on Saturday, September 26, with a full day of books, local vendors, creative activities, and plenty of reasons to explore its new space on Catalina Avenue.

The bookstore offers books across genres and for all ages, and the grand opening celebration will bring in several local vendors offering interactive experiences throughout the day. Bug-a-Booth will be creating on-the-spot cartoons, while The Typin’ Pint will write personalized poetry on the spot.

Visitors can also stop by the Original Zen Collective Bookish Bloom Bar, create something of their own with Sable & Starlight’s charm bar, or visit Sunspoke Studio for a patch bar. There will also be bookmark bedazzling and DIY silhouette activities during the celebration.

The grand opening runs from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to browse the shelves, discover a new book, meet the people behind the shop, and check out the different vendors and activities planned for the day.
