Hermosa Beach Russell Nomura and Yoshiko Oest January 2, 2026

Date: Friday, January 9, 2026
Time: 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm

Not Lame Bazaar is bringing a bold new energy to Hermosa Beach with its first ever takeover of Local Collaborative Hermosa. Happening on Friday, January 9, 2026, this free evening event blends live music, art, retail vendors, food, drinks, and an unmistakable creative edge into one high-energy community gathering. From 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm, the space transforms into a celebration of independent artists, musicians, and makers who bring real personality and purpose to their work.

Presented by the Wherever You Go Foundation, Not Lame Bazaar leans into a punk-inspired, beach grit atmosphere that feels raw, intentional, and refreshing. The live music lineup sets the tone for the night, featuring performances by Jakob Nowell, Whossalter, US Bad Americans, Standby Official, and Cholo Shark. The music runs throughout the evening, creating a soundtrack that keeps the momentum going while guests move between performances, vendors, and conversations.

Art and retail vendors are a central part of the experience, showcasing handmade goods, photography, jewelry, and creative work that feels personal and expressive. Featured artists include Nicole Carmody, Kimie Joe Art, and additional local creatives, each bringing their own perspective and style. The focus is on makers with backbone, offering pieces that feel meaningful rather than mass produced.

Beyond the music and shopping, Not Lame Bazaar has a strong community-driven mission. Twenty percent of all vendor purchases will benefit the Wherever You Go Foundation, supporting its work to turn empathy into action and stories into solutions. It’s an event that combines creativity with impact, allowing attendees to support artists while contributing to a larger cause.

Events like Not Lame Bazaar are exactly why We Love South Bay Local. They bring together artists, musicians, nonprofits, and the community in a way that feels authentic and collaborative. This is not just a market or a concert, but a shared experience rooted in creative expression and connection.

Not Lame Bazaar is shaping up to be an unforgettable night in Hermosa Beach. With free entry, an intentional lineup, and a vibrant mix of art, music, and community spirit, it’s a chance to experience something new, support local creatives, and be part of the start of something special.
