Public Art Walking Tour in Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach Russell Nomura and Yoshiko Oest September 16, 2026

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM
Location: Manhattan Beach Art Center – 1560 Manhattan Beach Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266

Take a closer look at the art found throughout Manhattan Beach during a free Public Art Walking Tour on Saturday, September 19. The guided walk begins at the Manhattan Beach Art Center and will explore a curated selection of works from the City of Manhattan Beach’s public art collection.

The approximately one-hour tour will focus on public art located on the east side of Manhattan Beach. Along the way, participants will have a chance to learn more about the pieces, hear different perspectives, and think about the role public art plays in the community.

The tour also comes at a time when the City of Manhattan Beach is developing a new Public Art Master Plan. In addition to seeing existing works in person, the walk is an opportunity to start conversations about public art in Manhattan Beach and what residents might like to see in the future.

The event is free, but advance RSVP is required. Participants should meet at the Manhattan Beach Art Center at 2:00 PM and wear comfortable walking shoes.

We love finding free events that encourage people to slow down and see familiar South Bay neighborhoods from a different perspective. This walking tour is a chance to discover some of the art already around Manhattan Beach while learning more about the creative projects shaping the community.
