Spark creativity and imagination through art and storytelling this summer!

On Thursday, July 17 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the Torrance Cultural Arts Center will host Stories In Art, a hands-on, gallery-inspired program designed for kids ages 6–11.

Led by award-winning art teacher Diane Reeves, this engaging event includes a special museum visit connected to the Torrance Art Museum’s current exhibitions—Special Relationships and Sites of Conflict—followed by an interactive storytelling session and art workshop.

Diane brings over 22 years of experience teaching in Torrance, combining photography, fine art techniques, and storytelling to inspire kids to create meaningful, expressive work. She has received both the Torrance Teacher Recognition Award and the Excellence in Arts Award, and recently exhibited her own work at The Visions Museum of Textile Arts.

Whether your child is a budding artist or just curious about making something new, Stories In Art is a fun and creative way to introduce them to both museum experiences and hands-on art-making.
