If you’ve ever watched a surf flick and felt the pull of the waves, this night is for you.

South Bay Boardriders Club and the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation are bringing surf movies back to the historic Hermosa Beach Playhouse for a special double feature movie night on Friday, June 27. From 5 PM to 10 PM, the theater will once again echo with surf stoke—just like it did in the ‘60s through the ‘90s, when South Bay surfers gathered here to catch the latest wave-filled reels.

This is a night for the community to come together—surf sisters and brothers, groms, longtime locals, and anyone who just loves a good surf story on the big screen. Expect throwback energy, classic surf films, and a whole lot of South Bay spirit.

Tickets are just $10 and will be sold at the door. Proceeds help support the event and the nonprofits behind it. So, grab your crew, swing by Pier Avenue, and enjoy a night that celebrates our deep-rooted surf culture and the stories that continue to shape it.
