Valmonte Farm & Garden Mini Market | Local Produce in Palos Verdes Estates

Palos Verdes Estates Russell Nomura and Yoshiko Oest May 22, 2025

Looking for something peaceful, local, and truly South Bay this weekend? Swing by the Valmonte Farm & Garden Mini Market on Saturday, May 24, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Palos Verdes Estates.

You’ll find ultra-fresh, chemical-free vegetables, herbs, farm-fresh eggs, and even Nancy Lemargie’s famous homemade preserves—all grown and made right on site. You can even say hello to the chickens… or adopt one!

About Valmonte Farm & Garden

Tucked in a quiet corner of Palos Verdes Estates, Valmonte Farm & Garden is a local gem. Founded over 12 years ago through a partnership with PVPUSD, this nonprofit has transformed once-unused land into a thriving, sustainable farm and outdoor learning center.

Led by the thoughtful stewardship of Nancy Lemargie, the garden not only produces high-quality food—it also teaches job skills to special needs young adults, provides environmental programming to students across the district, and supplies fresh produce to local restaurants through its Seed to Plate program.

It’s a field trip destination, a farmstand, a classroom, and a sanctuary—all in one.
