Sharleen Taira brings decades of experience and passion to her teaching. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and over 30 years at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, Shar has taught a variety of classes, from ceramics and quilting to calligraphy and sewing. Her love for Shibori stems from her deep appreciation for Japanese textile traditions and her rich background in arts and crafts.
