The Hermosa Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns for its 30th year, bringing a festive afternoon of community celebration to downtown Hermosa Beach. This annual tradition draws locals and visitors together along the parade route for a lively and colorful celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

Starting at 11:00 AM, the parade will make its way through the heart of downtown along Pier Avenue and Hermosa Avenue. Spectators can expect to see a wide variety of participants including local nonprofits, community organizations, unique vehicles, creative floats, and recognizable local brands. The mix of groups and personalities gives the parade its eclectic charm and makes it a favorite South Bay tradition.

The event is hosted by the Hermosa Beach Chamber Foundation in partnership with the City of Hermosa Beach. Each year, the parade highlights the spirit of the local community, bringing together organizations and residents who contribute to the character of the South Bay.

Because the parade route runs through the center of downtown, Pier Avenue and Hermosa Avenue will be closed early Saturday morning to prepare for the event. Those planning to attend may want to arrive early to find a good viewing spot along the route and enjoy the festive atmosphere before the parade begins.

Events like this reflect the unique energy of Hermosa Beach. From the oceanfront setting to the strong sense of community participation, the parade offers a simple way for neighbors and visitors to gather and celebrate together.

This is why We Love South Bay Local. Community traditions like the Hermosa Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade bring people together, celebrate local organizations, and create shared moments that keep the spirit of the South Bay alive.
