Redondo Beach Police Host National Night Out 2024

Location: Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center (P-Lot) 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd, Redondo Beach, CA 90278

To continue to promote community trust and transparency in local law enforcement, the Redondo Beach Police Department will host its National Night Out for 2024 on August 10. Redondo Beach residents are invited to attend this annual community-building campaign at The Performing Arts Center.

Event Highlights:

  • Police and Fire Demonstrations: Witness exciting demos by the local police and fire departments.
  • Food Trucks: Enjoy a variety of delicious eats from local food trucks.
  • Games and Activities: Engage in fun games and activities for all ages.
  • Dunk Tank: Try your luck at dunking a local officer in the dunk tank.
  • K9, SWAT, Motorcycles: Get up close with the K9 unit, SWAT team, and police motorcycles.

Over 38 million neighbors across 17,000 communities from all 50 states, US territories, and military bases will come together to participate in similar events. The goal for National Night Out is to promote strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer.

Most communities celebrate National Night Out by hosting block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and other community events. Often, organizers will offer safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, and exhibits for people to experience.

“This is a night for our nation to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement. When law enforcement and the community work closely together, some amazing things can happen,” National Project Coordinator Matt Peskin said.
